A tragic effect of the loss of the rainforest is the extinction of plants and animals that could supply us with food, medicine or valuable products. Thousands of species disappear each year. This leads to a poorer world with less biodiversity.
Soils and Nutrients Effect
One surprising result of the destruction of the rainforest is that soils and nutrients are washed away. When the trees are cut down, the soil is exposed to the heavy rain and quickly becomes infertile and useless. The forest cannot grow again, and the people who used the land have to move on.
Global Warming
One of the most serious effects is global warming. When the trees in the rainforest are cut down, carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere. This carbon dioxide acts as a blanket, trapping the sun’s heat and warming the planet. This can have huge consequences for the world’s climate.

I have some information about global warming..I want tell u meaning of global warming and factor cause global warming. meaning of global warming is increase in the average tempreture of the earth.global warming can happen cause 2 factor.First human activity such as deforestion, fossil fuel burnning and factory activity. Second factor is ntural phenomena such as volcano activity and solar radiation.
I want to share effect global warming in poor country... first the farming activity is so disappointing. plant who need a lot of water like millet and paddy will dry and die because global warming cannot allow rain fall in a long time.. This phenomena has been happen in Kenya, Zaire and India.
second people in Andes mountain use sheep wool for clothing and sell cloth to seek income. But global warming can cause sheep not produce their wool faster. So poor people in Andes mountain cannot sell cloth. So they don't get much income. This is effect global warming to poor country I get in my class development issues.
Thanks for hanafi and aqrill. I feel so disappointed to man today. They destroy rainforest, and than they activity like fossil fuel burning and factory activity make the world in danger.
